Below is a typical example of how the courses are split up during the day.

One on one training day for beauty therapists. NVQ level 3 or equivalent with leading facial aesthetician for hyaluronic injections

Explanation of how the product works & the injecting techniques used, possible side-effects that may occur, practical experience with syringes & different products. Demonstration techniques from Mr James McGrath and practical hands on injecting of your model.

Level 1

Hyaluronic Dermal Infusion Day Course

9.00 – 11.00am
Introduction to the course objectives.
1. Knowledge of anatomy of skin and deeper tissue
2. Knowledge of hyaluronic Acid
3. Skin assessment for treatment acceptability
4. Handling Client expectations and photograph
5. Importance of Consent form

11.00 - 12.00am
1. Learning skills and techniques of dermal line removal
2. Learning no go areas for product
3. Syringe handling, placement of needle, to get a feel of holding
4. Explaining Aseptic technique, use of gloves, washing hands and organising a sterile area and maintaining such.
5. Learning what to expect from product and technique (it’s not a magic wand)
6. Disposal of Needles and syringes

12.00 -1.00pm
Break for lunch, talk on days progress and any questions.

1.00 – 2.00 pm
Practical demonstration of techniques by Mr McGrath
1. Client consultation and photograph
2. Washing hands, making sterile area and maintaining
3. Handling product, the use of swabs not cotton wool, gloves
4. Cleaning areas to be treated on client
5. Injecting the product to achieve as discussed and agreed with client

2.00 – 5.00pm
